Located in the heart of Central Jakarta, Cafe Difabis is not just a place to relax and enjoy culinary delights, but also a space designed to accommodate inclusivity and diversity. The project is a collaboration between YPA Architects and Badan Amil Zakat Nasional (BAZNAS), whose vision is to create a welcoming environment for all, including those with special needs.

Cafe Difabis in South Jakarta, an inclusive and sustainable architectural space designed by YPA Architects in collaboration with BAZNAS, featuring accessible pathways, ergonomic interiors, and green elements.

With an architectural approach that prioritizes accessibility, YPA Architects designed Cafe Difabis to be enjoyed by all. Spacious circulation paths, adjustable table heights, and ergonomic design elements are part of the inclusive concept applied. The selection of natural materials such as wood and exposed concrete creates a warm and comfortable atmosphere, while natural lighting is maximized through large openings that provide a strong connection between indoor and outdoor spaces.

As part of BAZNAS’ social initiatives, the cafe not only prioritizes aesthetics and functionality, but also empowers people with disabilities by providing employment opportunities in a supportive environment. The open space concept implemented reinforces social interaction between visitors, creating an inviting and welcoming atmosphere. Every corner is designed to provide an experience that blends in with the environment, both through green elements that bring coolness and flexible furniture layouts for various needs.
